Tipperary Racecourse is ideally located just 1km from the 4 star Great National Ballykisteen Golf Hotel. With busy fixtures from spring to autumn, we are the perfect hotel if you’re looking for a day out at the races. Tipperary Racecourse has a public bar, self-service restaurant and members bar. Thurles Racecourse

Thurles Racecourse is located 45 minutes from the Great National Ballykisteen Golf Hotel. Racing takes place in the winter months generally from late October to the end of March. The racetrack itself has an excellent free-draining soil that lends itself ideally to the rigours of winter racing, with an average of 1,500 runners per season. Fixtures can be found here

Limerick Racecourse

Limerick Racecourse is situated just 35 minutes from Great National Ballykisteen Golf Hotel. Irish horse racing legend JP McManus hails from Limerick and served his apprenticeship at Limerick racetrack. There are regular meetings at Limerick Races with quality horses. And you never know who you might meet there. Limerick Racecourse is delighted to confirm new fixtures for 2021 and 2022.  They have a variety of day, evening and weekend fixtures to select from which make for an ideal outing for a corporate, family or friends get-together to the races.
